Hi, I'm Kari.
I'm the bookkeeper behind Stark Bookkeeping Solutions, a certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor, and a genuine fan of a perfectly reconciled bank account.
I spent 18 years in the financial industry, then started Stark Bookkeeping Solutions to give small business owners what they actually want from a bookkeeper: accurate books, fast answers, and someone who treats their business like it matters. Because it does.
I'm based in Tennessee and work with small businesses here, in southern Kentucky, and anywhere in the US, completely online in QuickBooks Online. No stuffy offices, no billing you for a drive, and no waiting a week for a reply. Just text me.
Why I love this work
I love putting numbers where they belong
Some people see a messy bank feed and feel dread. I see a puzzle. I genuinely love taking a pile of transactions and putting every number exactly where it belongs, until the books are organized and everything ties out to the penny.
Bookkeeping is all about structure, and structure is my happy place. I'm organized, detail oriented, and reliable, which is exactly what you want from the person keeping your books.
Most of all, I like helping people. There's nothing better than a business owner opening a clean profit and loss for the first time and saying, "Oh. So that's where the money went."
Outside the books
When I'm not in QuickBooks
I love to travel, and I've called a few places home: California, New Jersey and New York City, and now Tennessee.
At home I'm outnumbered by my three kitties, who are firmly convinced they run the place. They may be right.
Fun fact: in my spare time, I do background acting. If you ever spot a familiar face in the back of a scene, it might be your bookkeeper.
